Community gardens are a way for people to grow their own food, in a central area, alongside their neighbors! At FRESH, there is an emphasis on the “community” in community gardens, a result of our expansive definition of health as inclusive of social cohesion, empowerment, and shared learning.
We currently have three community gardens here in New London. One is on the corner of Mercer and Williams, the second is on Ledyard St, near the intersection with Vauxhall, and the third is on the corner of McDonald and Connecticut Ave.
Our beds are all reserved for the year! Let us know if you’d like to get on the waiting list!
