Soups & Stories from Around the World – Winter Fundraiser

Join us to celebrate diverse cultures through food and storytelling; both universal experiences to bring people together.
This unique event blends local food and local voices, offering attendees a chance to enjoy soups donated by New London-area restaurants while listening to stories from community members, youth, and professional storytellers. Each story and each soup will highlight personal and cultural traditions, creating a rich, nourishing experience that speaks to the heart of FRESH’s mission: food as a tool for connection, justice, and empowerment.
Attendees can expect:
- A tasting experience of global soups, with options for various dietary needs
- Live storytelling from local residents, elders, youth, and other community members
- A community reflection wall and youth-led art installations
- Opportunities to support food justice work through donations, raffles, and more!
All proceeds from this event will benefit FRESH New London’s youth programs, urban agriculture initiatives, and community organizing for food justice.
PARKING – There are various parking options available. In addition to these parking locations, there is also parking available in the Church of City parking lot on Washington St (behind the Washington St. Coffee House).
