Each story and each soup will highlight personal and cultural traditions\, creating a rich\, nourishing experience that speaks to the heart of FRESH’s mission: food as a tool for connection\, justice\, and empowerment.\n \nAttendees can expect: \n\nA tasting experience of global soups\, with options for various dietary needs\nLive storytelling from local residents\, elders\, youth\, and other community members\nA community reflection wall and youth-led art installations\nOpportunities to support food justice work through donations\, raffles\, and more!\n\nAll proceeds from this event will benefit FRESH New London’s youth programs\, urban agriculture initiatives\, and community organizing for food justice. \nPARKING – There are various parking options available. In addition to these parking locations\, there is also parking available in the Church of City parking lot on Washington St (behind the Washington St. Coffee House). \n

THE GARDEN WALK IS FREE TO ALL PARTICIPANTS!!!\n************************************************\nFRESH New London is excited to announce that our 3rd Annual Garden Walk for Food Justice will take place on Saturday\, September 20th!\nWe’re reaching out to invite you to be a part of this community-wide event! The Garden Walk is a fundraiser where participants pay a $10 fee to walk between five different FRESH gardens\, about a 2-mile trek! Folks can walk as an individual or join up with family\, friends\, colleagues or neighborhoods to walk together. We end the celebration with activities and pizza from our very own wood fired oven at the Mercer Garden.
